STATE BAR'S "BILL OF RIGHTS" LAW DAY VIDEO CONTEST
~ Cash Prizes Await Winners~
To commemorate Law Day 2010, the
Maryland State Bar Association’s Public Awareness Committee is looking for submissions to its Video Contest – “U.S. Bill of Rights.” This MSBA public education initiative, launched to help people better understand the justice system and their role in it, is looking for imaginative three minute videos depicting how the Bill of Rights has affected the past, present and/or future. The winners will receive cash prizes and all submissions must be received between January 1, 2010 and April 1, 2010.
The 2010 MSBA Video Contest- U.S. Bill of Rights, encourages all Maryland residents, students at a Maryland institution and attorneys licensed to practice in Maryland, to submit a video that shows why the Bill of Rights is important in the past, present, and/or future.
The 1-3 minute video will be judged on creativity, originality, adherence to there and overall quality. The contest has two categories, Under 18 and Over 18. All videos will be entered in the People’s Choice awards, voted on at MSBA’s 2010 Law Day.
The deadline for entries is April 1, 2010, and the contest criteria, rules and submission details may be found at www.msba.org/?billofrights.
A “jury” of MSBA volunteer leaders will select the following First, Second and Third-place winners:
- First Place: $500
- Second Place: $300
- Third Place: $200
